Physiological Assessments

Maximum oxygen consumption (VO2max) is often considered the ‘gold’ standard measurement of endurance capability and can be used to determine training intensities and monitor training success. It is the body’s ability to be able to take in, deliver and utilise oxygen in the working muscles.

This test can be carried out on the following ergometers:

  • Treadmill

  •  Stationary bike/turbo trainer
